Flaster Greenberg is pleased to announce a significant organizational update designed to further align with the firm’s long-term vision, culture, and client service goals. Effective January 1, 2026, the firm has implemented a refreshed department and practice group structure that reflects its growth and the increasingly sophisticated needs of its clients.
“This restructuring reflects our commitment to staying ahead of the curve and delivering the highest level of service to our clients, while promoting clearer communication, stronger collaboration, and more consistent support across practices,” said Co-Managing Shareholder Jordan LaVine.
Co-Managing Shareholder Steven Poulathas adds: “By creating a clearer, more collaborative structure, we are empowering our attorneys to innovate, grow, and work together in ways that strengthen both our firm and the value we provide to clients. We’re excited about the opportunities this new framework will create for our team and the clients we serve.”
The new structure reflects a broader shift in the business world away from traditional hierarchical leadership models toward a more adaptive, enterprise-wide approach. By recognizing that subject-matter specialists and thought leaders exist throughout the firm, the structure empowers attorneys at all levels to contribute to innovation, strategic direction, and growth.
Client expectations have also evolved significantly. Advances in technology and digitization have led clients to ask more complex questions and expect faster, practical, and solution-oriented guidance. To meet these demands, the firm studied successful organizations and emerging industry trends, identifying the need for deeper specialization combined with stronger collaboration. By strengthening resources within practice groups and fostering synergies across departments, Flaster Greenberg is better positioned to deliver tailored, efficient, and scalable solutions to complex legal and business challenges.
The workforce is evolving as well, with purpose-driven performance, transparency, and collaboration becoming increasingly important. Practice Group Leaders will play a key role in reinforcing the firm’s culture and values, while Department Chairs will focus on integration, leveraging collective expertise across practice groups, and promoting the firm’s entrepreneurial spirit through trust and accountability.
Under the new model, attorneys will be organized into three core departments—Business Transactions, Litigation and Disputes, and Intellectual Property—each led by a Department Chair and supported by dedicated Practice Group Leaders overseeing specialized areas of law. This structure aligns attorneys by principal practice area while maintaining flexibility and encouraging cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Department Chairs will serve as key liaisons between their departments and firm leadership, overseeing workflow, staffing, strategic planning, and business development. Practice Group Leaders will manage day-to-day operations within their groups, including assignments, marketing initiatives, training, and attorney development. Together, they will work collaboratively to identify opportunities that support the firm’s continued growth.
To support this leadership framework, the firm is investing in leadership development resources and targeted marketing initiatives. Department Chairs and Practice Group Leaders will serve initial two-year terms, creating opportunities for broader attorney participation in firm leadership and shaping the firm’s future.
