H. Matthew Taylor is member of Flaster Greenberg’s Litigation Department, Labor & Employment Practice Group, and Sports Law Industry Group. Matt focuses his practice on employment and commercial litigation, wage and hour issues, contract disputes, business torts, trade secrets and restrictive covenant matters as well as class action defense. He counsels clients in matters pending across the country and regularly handles all aspects of litigation in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Matt represents private and public businesses and individuals in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and before administrative agencies. He also counsels clients on a broad range of employment and labor law matters. Matt also has significant experience litigating complex intellectual property disputes, with a particular focus on trademark and copyright infringement, unfair competition, and false advertising. He represents clients in federal and state courts across the country, as well as before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and other administrative bodies. His practice includes enforcing and defending claims involving brand protection, product configuration, advertising claims, and digital content. He regularly handles disputes arising under the Lanham Act, the Copyright Act, and state unfair competition laws, and has secured favorable outcomes for clients ranging from emerging businesses to multinational corporations. In addition to litigation, Matt counsels clients on pre-litigation strategy, risk mitigation, and enforcement programs, including cease-and-desist campaigns and online takedown efforts. His deep understanding of both litigation dynamics and intellectual property law makes him a trusted advisor in high-stakes IP matters.
Prior to joining Flaster Greenberg, Matt spent nearly a decade practicing law at a full-service AmLaw 100 firm. In addition, he served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Virginia A. Long, Justice (ret.), New Jersey Supreme Court, as well as for the Honorable Joel Schneider, U.S.M.J., United States District Court, D.N.J.
Representative Matters
- Draft dispositive motions in employment and other commercial and civil litigation matters resulting in favorable settlements and dismissal of claims.
- Successfully obtained summary judgment on behalf of individual defendants and business owners in a contentious wage and hour class action pending in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
- Argued before the New Jersey Superior Court Appellate Division and obtained reversal of trial court decision denying clients’ motion to compel arbitration in 446 Bellevue LLC v. Global Life Enters., LLC, No. No. A-0730-17T2, 2018 N.J. Super. Unpub. LEXIS 1690 (App. Div. July 16, 2018).
- Obtained dismissal of all claims in FINRA arbitration proceeding involving allegations of fraud in the sale of a life insurance policy and related investment product.

Successfully defended a prominent private youth soccer club with national footprint and relationships to professional soccer leagues in arbitration proceeding related to a commercial dispute alleging breach of certain non-solicitation rules and other business torts.
