Insurance coverage attorney Arthur R. Armstrong has joined Flaster Greenberg as a shareholder in its LitigationInsurance, and Cybersecurity practice groups.  He will be based in the firm's Philadelphia office, where he will service his policyholder clients in insurance recovery and commercial litigation.

A seasoned attorney and partner at Anderson Kill for the past seven years, Armstrong has extensive experience in representing privately held and publicly traded companies against primary and excess insurers to secure coverage under property, commercial general liability, D&O, E&O and other insurance policies. Armstrong's practice also focuses on insurance recovery for cyber attacks, including ransomware, DDoS attacks, social engineering, malware attacks and other cyber threats.  He holds a certificate from HarvardX for "Cybersecurity: Managing Risk in the Information Age."

Armstrong has also represented financial institutions, real estate developers, technology companies, and other business entities in litigation matters involving corporate governance, employment discrimination, commercial and residential property development and various contract disputes.  He has also handled appeals before state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Jordan A. LaVine, Flaster Greenberg’s co-managing shareholder, stated, "We’re absolutely thrilled to add a lawyer of Arthur’s caliber to the firm. Arthur’s addition reflects the firm's continued development of our Insurance Recovery practice, which has seen significant growth in the past year. Arthur brings a substantial existing practice and our clients will find Arthur to be a tremendous asset. His skillset and insight into niche areas of the law will be a tremendous complement to our existing Insurance Recovery team.”

In July 2020, Flaster Greenberg welcomed back veteran insurance recovery shareholder, Lee M. Epstein, together with former Flaster attorney John G. Koch, and shareholder Matthew A. Goldstein. In September 2020, the firm saw the practice group nearly double in size with the addition of Meghan C. Moore, Nicole A. Josephy, and Michael E. Iles, who not only bolstered the bench strength of the Insurance Recovery practice, but also enhanced the firm’s South Florida presence.  All six joined from insurance boutique Weisbrod Matteis & Copley.  The group joined veteran Flaster insurance law shareholder, Mitchell H. Kizner, who has been practicing with the firm for more than 20 years.

“Flaster Greenberg’s excellent reputation as a full-service corporate law firm, with a fantastic policyholder-side insurance coverage group, make it the ideal platform for me to continue to provide superior service to my clients. I’m looking forward to growing my practice with this nationally recognized and esteemed group of lawyers,” stated Armstrong.

Prior to working at Anderson Kill, Armstrong was an associate at Duane Morris. Armstrong earned his JD from Temple University Law School where he was the recipient of the Albert H. Friedman Prize for excellence in legal research and writing.  He earned his undergraduate degree from St. Joseph's University, magna cum laude, where he was inducted into The Phi Beta Kappa Society.
