Riesenburger Honored by the Cumberland County Bar Association

Franklin J. Riesenburger, Flaster Greenberg shareholder and Chair of the firm’s Environmental Law Practice Group, will be honored by the Cumberland County Bar Association (CCBA) in recognition of his meritorious service to the legal profession for the past 40 years. The award will be presented to Riesenburger at the association’s annual dinner on February 29th at the Running Deer Golf Club in Pittsgrove, New Jersey.

Over the course of his legal career, Riesenburger has represented numerous clients in environmental litigation and regulation, environmental permitting and commercial transactions. He is a former adjunct professor of environmental law at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and frequently lectures on topics, including environmental contamination, cost recovery, environmental remediation cost allocation, complex litigation and risk assessment in New Jersey, and issues facing Realtors in industrial, commercial and residential sales.

A highly regarded environmental law attorney, Riesenburger has been honored as a repeat “Top Attorney” by SJ Magazine and named a New Jersey “Super Lawyer” for three consecutive years. Most recently, he was named as one of “Philadelphia’s Top Rated Lawyers” by the Legal Intelligencer.

An active leader in his community, Riesenburger is a member of the national board of directors of Elwyn and serves as chairman to the board of directors of Israel Elwyn, a human services organization serving the developmentally challenged community both in United States and Israel. In addition, he is a member of the CleanTech Committee of the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce and formerly served as president of the Jewish Federation of Cumberland County, where he has been an active member for over 25 years. In 2009, Riesenburger was named a Trustee Emeritus by the Vineland Public Library in recognition of 24 years of exemplary service to the library and community.

Riesenburger is a resident of Vineland, New Jersey and is a cum laude graduate of the American University, where he received the John F. Kennedy Memorial Scholarship. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago.
