Janki S. Patel focuses her practice on a variety of commercial litigation issues with a concentration on complex employment matters.
She represents employers in all phases of litigation and brings a practical, detail-oriented approach to managing risk and resolving disputes. Her experience includes legal research, drafting, and assisting with case strategy in complex employment matters.
Prior to joining Flaster Greenberg, Janki worked at a prominent civil defense litigation law firm where she focused on professional liability and employment defense.
Earlier in her career, she gained experience at a Philadelphia-based law firm, where she assisted in the preparation and review of franchise disclosure documents and conducted legal research on a variety of corporate and regulatory matters.
Janki earned her J.D. from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law, where she was recognized for her academic achievement and leadership. She served on the executive board of the Alternative Dispute Resolution team, developing strong negotiation and advocacy skills, and was an active member of the Student Bar Association and the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. During law school, she also completed a legal externship with a hospitality company, where she gained experience reviewing and analyzing commercial contracts.
Janki is committed to pro bono service and, during law school, volunteered with the Dornsife Estate Planning Clinic, assisting low-income individuals with wills, powers of attorney, and related estate planning documents.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of California, Santa Barbara and is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
