Michele G. Tarantino, a real estate attorney at Flaster Greenberg, has been selected as one of the Top Women in Real Estate by Real Estate New Jersey.
Tarantino was named as one of the rising stars in commercial real estate, including development, brokerage and real estate services, property management and law. Recipients were selected based on their biographies and professional accomplishments.
Tarantino has over ten years of experience representing private clients, financial institutions and commercial developers in connection with acquisition, financing, development and leasing of commercial, residential and mixed-use projects (including, but limited to, drafting municipal agreements, leases, purchase contracts and loan documents; assisting in assessing the viability of real estate for development and negotiating project consultant contracts in the areas of construction, architecture and civil engineering).
She began her career in real estate as a development associate for a national real estate developer specializing in the construction of luxury rental apartments and senior housing communities in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
Tarantino has represented clients in numerous real estate related transactions, including: the acquisition of industrial property in Gloucester County for which she obtained financing from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority for the acquisition; a private golf course acquisition in Somerset County; and the acquisition of a portfolio of 17 commercial properties including formation of various ownership entities and review of property due diligence materials. She also represented real estate clients in connection with the Dedication and Enrollment of Lands and Transfer of Development Rights for multiple properties in Chesterfield Township
Recently, Tarantino provided pro bono representation to the Mental Health Association in Southwestern New Jersey in the purchase of its new office location.
The Manalapan, New Jersey resident is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law (J.D. 1995) and Villanova University (B.A. Cum Laude, 1992). She and the other recipients will be recognized in the December 2007 issue of Real Estate New Jersey.
