Flaster Greenberg PC is pleased to announce that Tax Shareholder David Neufeld has been re-appointed as a Member Liaison to the Uniform Law Commission (ULC) Joint Editorial Board (JEB) for Uniform Trust and Estate Acts on behalf of the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section (ABA RPTE).
In this role, Neufeld will continue to serve as a liaison between the ABA RPTE Section and the ULC Joint Editorial Board, which works on the development and review of uniform laws relating to trusts and estates. His appointment reflects his extensive experience in tax, trusts and estates, and estate planning, as well as his involvement in the broader legal community.
Neufeld focuses his practice on federal and state tax matters, with an emphasis on tax planning for individuals and businesses, estate planning, trust and estate administration, and business succession planning including wealth transfer strategies, and the tax implications of business transactions and mergers and acquisitions.
The Uniform Law Commission, founded in 1892, provides states with non-partisan, well-conceived and well-drafted legislation that brings clarity and stability to critical areas of statutory law. Its Joint Editorial Boards bring together representatives from the ULC and other legal organizations to promote collaboration and consistency in the development of uniform acts.
“I am honored to serve as one of the ABA RPTE Section’s liaisons to the Joint Editorial Board alongside the best trust and estate legal minds in the country,” said Neufeld. “The development of uniform laws plays an important role in promoting consistency and clarity in trust and estate law, and I look forward to continuing my contribution to this important work.”
Neufeld has been recognized by various legal publications and professional organizations for his work in tax and trusts and estates law. He is a frequent speaker and writer on tax, estate planning and related legal topics and is actively involved in RPTE and other professional organizations.
