(Date Pending) NJ Resilient Environments and Landscapes (REAL) Rules Could Reshape Your Company’s Real Estate Strategy

PDF

The date of this seminar is currently pending due to the changing legal landscape.

Due to recent legislative developments concerning the NJ Resilient Environments and Landscapes (REAL) Rules, we have decided to postpone this seminar.

In late February 2026, the New Jersey Legislature introduced New Jersey SCR106, declaring that the REAL Rules are “inconsistent with legislative intent.” Per the Resolution, the NJDEP has 30 days to amend or withdraw the rules.

Given this 30-day window and the possibility that the DEP may revise the rules, the regulatory landscape is uncertain. Rather than present information that may soon change, we believe it is prudent to pause and reschedule once there is greater clarity.

We will continue to closely monitor developments and will announce a new seminar date after the 30-day window has passed or when the path forward becomes clearer.

ABOUT THIS SEMINAR

The REAL Rules will reshape your business’s approach to real estate, including ownership, development, maintenance, and leasing—mandating sustainability measures, flood mitigation strategies, and resiliency planning forcing business owners to rethink site selection, property upgrades, or even redesigning entire real estate portfolios. Join our attorneys for this informative seminar tailored for business owners, landlord, tenants, developers, and professional advisors navigating the intersection of practical business approaches as applied to law, real estate, and environmental policy.
