Description:

Daniel Markind, Shareholder and Aviation Law Industry Group Lead, and Peter Wakiyama, Shareholder and AI, Privacy, & Cybersecurity Practice Group Lead, will present “AI Legal Issues at Airports” to the Policy Review Council of American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE).

The AAAE Policy Review Council is a key leadership body within the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) that helps shape industry policy and guide the organization's strategic direction. Comprised of senior airport management professionals, this council works on critical issues affecting airports, including security, regulatory, and legislative matters.

Dan and Peter will discuss AI issues both relating to businesses in general and as may be unique to airport sponsors.  These include legal building blocks for businesses that span from doing an AI legal assessment to reviewing policies and taking audits to updating contracts and providing training. The duo will also touch on legal issues when onboarding a vendor, data as an asset when it comes to airports (as well as a liability), and how to reduce legal risk.
