Sven De La Rosa focuses his practice on patent matters. He previously served as a Summer Associate with the firm, gaining experience in patent prosecution across a range of technologies, including wireless communications, software, mechanical and electrical devices, and biotechnology. His experience includes drafting patent applications and claims; preparing responses to USPTO Office Actions involving Sections 101, 102, 103, and 112; analyzing cited prior art, drafting claim amendments, and developing related arguments; participating in invention disclosure meetings; conducting prior-art searches; and preparing claim charts. He has also worked on matters involving 5G communications technology and 3GPP standards and supported patent litigation through prior-art and legal research.
Sven earned his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he was a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society. He received his B.S. in Physics from the University of Maryland, College Park.
