Claire L. Santiago

Claire Santiago focuses her practice on patent litigation and other complex intellectual property disputes in numerous areas of technology, including cloud infrastructure, telecommunications, security networks, financial technology, biomedical devices, consumer devices and electronics, software, and beauty and home appliances. 

Prior to joining Flaster Greenberg, Claire practiced intellectual property litigation at a top-tier international law firm, where she represented numerous Fortune 500 companies in high stake patent disputes involving cutting-edge technologies. She has experience in all phases of litigation including trial, from pre-suit diligence to appeal, including managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, working with experts, drafting dispositive motions and claim construction briefing, preparing witnesses for trial testimony, and pre- and post-trial motions.  Her experience spans federal courts around the country.

Claire previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Juan R. Sánchez of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, where he helped manage a wide-spanning docket in one of the busiest districts in the country. 

Claire earned her J.D. from Stanford Law School, where she was recognized with the Hilmer Oehlmann, Jr. Award for Outstanding Performance in Federal Litigation. During her time at Stanford, she served as Managing Editor of the Stanford Technology Law Review and held leadership roles as Co-President of both the Stanford Intellectual Property Association and the Stanford Latino Law Students Association. While in law school, Claire was enrolled in the Juelsgaard Intellectual Property and Innovation Clinic, where she helped prepare amicus briefs in significant intellectual property matters before the Supreme Court of the United States and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She received her B.S., cum laude, in Biology & Society from Cornell University.
