Zach Snyder is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department and Patent Practice Group. His practice focuses on guiding clients through patent application drafting and filing, patent prosecution, and portfolio management.
Prior to joining the firm, Zach spent almost 15 years as a patent examiner at the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) where he processed applications and determined whether a patent could be granted. The applications were in a variety of mechanical and electrical technologies including semiconductor devices and systems, optical elements and systems, phosphorescent and fluorescent materials, plastics manufacturing, positive and non-positive displacement machines, electrical system controls and regulation, printed circuitry, and vehicle lighting and braking systems. Zach leverages his examiner experience to identify challenges early and design prosecution strategies aligned with each client’s goals.
As a former examiner, Zach uses his search proficiency to conduct thorough freedom-to-operate analyses and assist in Office proceedings such as reexamination, opposition, and inter partes review.
Zach received his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in May of 2025. Prior to graduating, he represented Temple Law in National Round of The Giles Sutherland Rich Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition, organized by the American Intellectual Property Law Association, held in Washington D.C. at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Zach was the 2024 Northeast Regional winner and was awarded both the Best Appellee and Best Appellant Brief Award.
While in law school, Zach was a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society Executive Board and Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. He was also a student editor for Temple’s business law magazine: The Temple 10-Q. Zach has also successfully completed Flaster Greenberg’s Summer Associate Program.
