Flaster Greenberg is proud to sponsor the 2023 Philadelphia Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Diversity Reception as part of its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiative.
The firm’s first Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee was created in 2001 and during the following decades the firm has honed its focus in on real, actionable programs and initiatives that positively impact workplace culture, clients, employees, and the community. One objective is to continually look for ways to support diverse legal talent at local law schools and, by sponsoring the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division Diversity Reception, the firm is meeting that objective and turning the focus from a goal to an action that touches the lives of law students from diverse backgrounds. At the reception on June 21, 2023, the Young Lawyer Division (YLD) will award five scholarships to law students from various backgrounds. Their goal is to identify and promote students who will be future leaders within the Bar and their respective affinity bar organizations. The YLD Diversity Committee looks at the candidate’s involvement in the community, leadership skills, and a demonstrable commitment to practicing law in Philadelphia following graduation.
Co-hosting organizations for the reception include Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Pennsylvania, The Barristers' Association of Philadelphia, Inc., Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania, National Bar Association, Women Lawyers Division, Philadelphia Diversity Law Group, Philadelphia LGBTQ Bar Association, and South Asian Bar Association of Philadelphia.
