The federal government and many individual states have focused on identifying and penalizing employers who misclassify employees as independent contractors and the possible adverse consequences for misclassification pose a significant risk for employers. On January 22nd, we will present a CPE program on the importance of properly classifying workers as 1099 independent contractors vs. W-2 employees.
