Harry J. Giacometti is a shareholder in Flaster/Greenberg’s Bankruptcy, Financial Restructuring and Risk Management Practice Group. His practice is focused on bankruptcy, debtor and creditors’ rights, commercial law and litigation. Through his representation of corporate, individual and institutional clients, Mr. Giacometti’s wide range of experience includes:

  • Commercial and consumer bankruptcy representation of both debtors and creditors
  • Commercial litigation in both the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey
  • Commercial transactions, including formations, liquidations, asset sales and purchase transactions

During his more than 20 years in the legal services industry, Mr. Giacometti was most recently name partner of Smith Giacometti, a boutique business law firm that he co-founded in 1997. Before forming Smith Giacometti, he worked in the Reorganization and Finance Department of Duane Morris. Prior to joining private practice, he served as a trial attorney with the Tax Division of the United States Department of Justice.

Mr. Giacometti has been a contributing author in Pennsylvania Foreclosures and Repossessions, published by the National Business Institute, as well as various sections in Developments in Reorganization and Commercial Finance Law, an annual publication that reviews legal developments in reorganization and commercial finance. He has also lectured on various topics relating to commercial transactions, bankruptcy law and commercial litigation.
