Philippe Laguerre is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department and Patent Practice Group. He focuses his practice on matters involving patent prosecution, strategies, and portfolio management.
Mr. Laguerre has nearly ten years of experience developing and managing intellectual property strategy, strategic IP portfolios, and preparing, filing, and prosecuting intellectual property applications. Most notably, he has prepared, filed, and prosecuted more than 100+ patent and trademark applications, including extensive PTAB experience.
Philippe’s focus includes industries such as telecommunications, computer and software technology, mechanical structures, medical devices, hydroelectric technology, renewable energy, and biotech.
Mr. Laguerre obtained a bachelor’s degree with a double major in electrical/computer engineering and mathematics from Andrews University. He also minored in Spanish and music performance. Philippe received a J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and a LL.M. in French, European, and International Business Law from the University of Paris I-Pantheon-Sorbonne.
Philippe speaks French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, and Chinese.
