Alexis Arena Appointed to Philadelphia Diversity Law Group Board of Directors

Flaster Greenberg shareholder Alexis Arena was recently named to the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group’s Board of Directors. As the firm’s liaison for the PDLG, Alexis will be coordinating our firm’s participation in the PDLG Fellows Program, including interviewing candidates and helping to mentor the PDLG Fellow selected by Flaster Greenberg. She will also be participating in other PDLG initiatives, events and programs throughout the year and provide support consistent with the PDLG’s mission of encouraging and supporting diverse lawyers in the Philadelphia region.

Alexis is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property, Internet Disputes and Litigation practice groups, focusing her practice on trademark law, copyright law, and internet disputes.  She earned her J.D. from the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 2005 and, during law school, was a summer intern in Kathmandu, Nepal, where she worked with members of the United Nations and World Health Organization to implement changes in Nepal's legal system. Most recently, Alexis was named by the World Trademark Review as a top attorney in the area of trademark enforcement and litigation, where she was noted for being digitally savvy in online enforcement issues. She has also been named a Pennsylvania “Rising Star” by Thomson Reuters, publishers of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers, a 'Lawyer on the Fast Track' by The Legal Intelligencer, and a 'Top Attorney' by SJ Magazine.

The Philadelphia Diversity Law Group is committed to increasing the number of attorneys of diverse backgrounds working at law firms and corporate law departments in the Greater Philadelphia region in order to make the legal profession stronger, more productive and better equipped to meet the challenges of the 21st century. As part of this mission, PDLG creates programs to enhance recruitment and retention of lawyers of diverse backgrounds by law firms and corporate law departments in this region. Since its incorporation in 2001, PDLG has grown from 12 founding members to 35 members – 23 law firms and 12 law departments.
