Flaster Greenberg shareholder Kenneth R. Gilberg has been selected to present at the South Jersey Controller Roundtable seminar focusing on wage and hour issues and concerns for automotive dealers on September 22nd. The event is co-sponsored by the Mironov Group, LLC, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants and Corporate Synergies.
The wage and hour seminar will discuss how navigating the complexities of both federal and state wage and hour laws can be a daunting task. In this interactive session, Gilberg will lead a discussion covering all aspects of wage and hour law compliance, including: exempt and non-exempt employees; how to properly calculate compensation due to service writers; body shop employees and technicians; and best practices. He will also discuss how to distinguish an independent contractor from an employee.
Mr. Gilberg serves as co-chair of the firm's Automotive Industry Group, and is a member of the firm's Labor and Employment Practice Group. He represents primarily employers in a broad range of employment, labor, and human resources issues. He is an experienced practitioner representing management before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, National Labor Relations Board, Department of Labor and other administrative agencies.
