Abbe F. Fletman

Abbe F. Fletman is a member of the Commercial Litigation Practice Group, Intellectual Property Practice Group and Government Relations Practice Group. She concentrates her practice in complex litigation and commercial disputes involving trademarks, copyrights and patents, contracts, professional negligence, real estate, racketeering, housing, securities fraud, employment and insurance.

As lead litigator in a variety of forums including federal court, Pennsylvania courts of common pleas, Orphan’s Court and Delaware Chancery Court, Ms. Fletman has successfully handled notable cases representing private and publicly held companies, nonprofit and for-profit organizations and government entities in jury and non-jury trials, and in numerous appeals.   

Before joining Flaster/Greenberg, Ms. Fletman was a partner in the litigation practice at Wolf Block in Philadelphia. A recognized leader in the legal community, Ms. Fletman is a past chair of the Federal Courts Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association and is a Fellow at The Academy of Advocacy of Temple University Beasley School of Law, where she has served as an instructor for the L.L.M. in Trial Advocacy and is a barrister in the school’s American Inn of Court. She is a Lecturer of Law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and is a frequent presenter at legal conferences, including American Bar Association meetings, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, and the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Federal Bench-Bar Conference.

She is one of four Vice Chairmen of the Board of Trustees of Albert Einstein Healthcare Network, a member of the Network's Board of Overseers, and Chair of the Quality Assessment and Improvement Committee.

In addition, she is a member of the Council of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation and is Regional Co-Chair of its Judicial Intern Opportunity Program Committee.

Among her published works, Ms. Fletman is co-editor of The Woman Advocate, 2nd Ed. (ABA 2010), and co-author of “Government Entity Litigation,” Business and Commercial Litigation in Federal Courts (2nd Ed. West, Nov. 2005 & 3rd Ed. West, Jan. 2012).
