Spirgel Tapped to Speak at Conference on Law Firm Management & Economics
Peter R. Spirgel, managing shareholder of Flaster/Greenberg PC, will participate in a two-day seminar examining numerous aspects of law firm management, to take place in Philadelphia at the Four Seasons Hotel on March 24 and 25, 2011. The 24th Annual Conference & Workshops on Law Firm Management & Economics is designed to be of specific interest to managing, administrative and financial partners, senior attorneys and office administrators.
Mr. Spirgel will speak at two sessions of the conference, including “Succession and Client Transition,” concerning timing and methods of transitioning clients from senior partners; and “Tensions Surrounding Partner Compensation,” in which he will discuss valuing original credits, origination and personal production, referring work to others, and related topics. In addition to Mr. Spirgel, the conference faculty includes Martin D. Beirne, of Beirne, Maynard & Parsons LLP, Houston, Texas; Ernest J. Bernabei, III, of Harvey Pennington, Philadelphia; D. Jeffrey Campbell, of Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, PC of Morristown, NJ; and Murray Ufberg, of Rosenn, Jenkins & Greenwald, LLP, of Wilkes-Barre, PA. The conference moderator is Joel A. Rose, President, Joel A. Rose & Associates, of Cherry Hill, NJ.
Mr. Spirgel advises businesses on taxation and shareholder issues, and financing transactions and mergers and acquisitions, as well as counsels individuals in the area of federal, state and estate tax planning. He serves as a member of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s Treasury Department Transition Subcommittee.
