Flaster/Greenberg’s Homans to Present at PBI Business Lawyers’ Institute
Michael D. Homans, shareholder in the Labor and Employment Practice Group at Flaster/Greenberg PC, will be a presenter at the 17th Annual Business Lawyers Institute sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI). The two-day conference, which begins on November 9th, will be held at the Wanamaker Building in Philadelphia.
Homans’ presentation, “The Dirty Dozen Employment Law Traps,” will explore the 12 most common employment issues that lead to litigation. Business lawyers who attend this program will not only leave with continuing education credits, but also valuable tip sheets, an understanding of the relevant laws, and practical advice they can use to help their clients avoid a legal crisis.
Homans practices labor and employment law, concentrating on the litigation of workplace disputes and pre-litigation advice to employers and employees. He serves as lead counsel in cases concerning wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing, non-compete agreements, wage payment, overtime, family and medical leave, and breach of contract.
