Calderone Presents Seminar on Patenting Inventions
Lynda L. Calderone, shareholder and chair of the Intellectual Property Practice Group, of Flaster/Greenberg presented the program "Patenting Your Inventions - Including Business Methods: Strategies for the Start-Up"on Tuesday, December 11, 2007. The seminar drew a crowd of 48 people who also enjoyed lunch.
Her presentation included a discussion of the critical role of patents, their use as business assets, and the development of a patent and IP strategy consistent with business goals to enhance the success of a new business venture. Calderone also provided information on developing IP policies, educating employees, evaluating IP properties and audits, and defensive and offensive tips in an infringement situation.
Calderone has experience in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. patent applications as well as IP litigation. She also handles the reexamination of U.S. patents, interference practice, prosecution of foreign patent applications, appeals before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences, and European opposition practice.
The seminar was co-sponsored by the Rutgers-Camden Business Incubator, Burlington County College High Technology Small Business Incubator and the Rutgers-Camden Small Business Development Center.
