Abbe Fletman to be Honored by Lambda Legal Philadelphia

Abbe F. Fletman, a shareholder at Flaster/Greenberg PC, will receive the Community Advocate Award from Lambda Legal Philadelphia, at an awards dinner on May 12, 2011 at the Perelman Building of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Ms. Fletman will be honored for her history of LGBT advocacy, including as a cooperating lawyer with Lambda Legal; her work in establishing an LGBT Litigator Committee within the American Bar Association’s 75,000 membership base; and as a co-chair of the Mayor’s Advisory Board on LGBT Concerns. Ms. Fletman is also a member of the National Board of Governors of Equality Forum.   

At Flaster/Greenberg, Ms. Fletman is the head of the Litigation Section of the Intellectual Property Practice Group and co-chair of the Government Relations Practice Group, as well as a member of the Commercial Litigation Practice Group.  She concentrates her practice in complex litigation and commercial disputes involving trademarks, copyrights and patents, contracts, professional negligence, real estate, racketeering, housing, securities fraud, employment and insurance.

Also receiving an award at the ceremony will be Congressman Patrick Murphy, for his legislative accomplishments toward the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”
