Abbe F. Fletman Appointed Committee Chair of Law & Policy, Vote Philadelphia

Flaster/Greenberg PC shareholder Abbe F. Fletman has been appointed Chair of the Law & Policy Committee for Vote Philadelphia, a newly launched advisory group for City Commissioners-elect Stephanie Singer and Al Schmidt. In her role as committee chair, Fletman will lead the effort to evaluate existing Board of Elections policies and legal issues and make recommendations to ensure a seamless and successful transition for the Commissioners-elect as they prepare to take office on January 2, 2012.

As a civic leader and volunteer, Fletman was a key member of Governor Edward G. Rendell’s transition team and gubernatorial campaign, served on Mayor John Street’s mayoral reelection campaign and transition staff, and is a former commissioner for the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations and member of the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority.

Fletman chairs the litigation section of Flaster/Greenberg's Intellectual Property Practice Group, and is the co-chair of the firm’s Government Relations and Regulatory Law Practice Group. She concentrates her practice in commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation and counseling, and represents government entities in complex litigation. Recently, she was selected as a “Leader in the Field of Intellectual Property, Pennsylvania” by Chambers USA, 2011. She is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
